Menu Volume ("the App") is designed with privacy in mind. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our macOS application for controlling system and Apple Music volume.

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. All processing happens locally on your Mac, and no information is sent to external servers.

Local Data Processing

The App processes the following information locally on your device:

App Settings

What: Launch at login preference, Apple Music integration setting

Purpose: To remember your configuration between app launches

Storage: Stored locally in macOS preferences

Permissions

The App may request the following system permissions:

Apple Music Automation (Optional)

Only requested when you enable Apple Music volume control. Used exclusively for controlling Apple Music volume.

You can revoke these permissions at any time through macOS System Settings → Privacy & Security.

App Store Privacy

Menu Volume is distributed through the Mac App Store and follows Apple's strict privacy guidelines:

  • The app runs in a secure sandbox environment
  • All system access is controlled by macOS permissions
  • No data is shared with third parties
  • No advertising or tracking technologies are used

Data Security

Since all data processing happens locally on your Mac:

  • Your settings are protected by macOS system security
  • No data transmission means no risk of data breaches
  • Settings are stored using secure macOS preferences system
